January 7, 2009 — The United States Consumer Products Safety Commission just expanded a recall of cribs made by Jardine Enterprises based upon a series of reports that the cribs have known to cause serious injuries to babies and young children. According to reports issued by the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission, the cribs have been recalled due to concerns of easily broken wood slats that could entrap or strangle a child. The recall today adds another 56,000 cribs to the 320,000 cribs that were previously recalled by the company last June, 2008. If you or anyone you know have a cribs manufactured by Jardine Enterprises that is the subject of a recall, it is important that a baby or young child not be exposed to its proximity.
